Red River Region SCCA

Red River Region would like to announce the 2011 RRR Street Tire Challenge.

For 2011, Drivers may elect to run the Street Tire Challenge. The RRR Street Tire Challenge is a separate index for drivers in stock, street prepared, or street modified classes that want to run on Street Tires. This challenge is meant to encourage competition in newer participants and lower the budget requirements to be competitive in those classes.

Requirements:
180 Thread wear tire or OEM thread wear tire equivalent (If your car came with 140 from the factor, you can use the 140 thread rating tire)
Stock, Street Prepared, or Street Modified Classed Car.
You will place a T in front of you class letters to identify your car as a Street Tire Challenge car.
Street Tire Challenge Drivers will only earn points for the end of year Street Tire Challenge Champion. They will not earn points for class championships or PAX champion.

People running a official Street Tire class like ST, STS, STX, STU, are included in the RRR Pax results and will not be eligible for the Street Tire Challenge.

The Street Tire Challenge will not run during the RRR TLAC EVENT.

These rules are a starting point for the 2011 RRR Street Tire Challenge and may be changed during the year based on member feedback.

Well, it’s time for an update on what is going on with Red River Region. 

Updates from past events & happenings:

2010 Solo National Championship:  Congratulations to Red River Region member David Barkley for his fourth place trophy in D Stock and Red River Region member Jeff Schaadt for his sixth place trophy in G Stock.

TLAC 3 (hosted by Red River Region):  Red River Region would like to thank everyone from out of town coming to the event.  We hope everyone had as much fun as we did.  Besides a bad timer at the finish that had to be fixed mid event, everything went smooth. 

Blytheville National Tour:  Congratulations to David Barkley for his win in D Stock, Jean Schaadt for her win in G Stock, Tim Dorman for his win in ASP, and Landon Dorman for his win in FJB.  Also, Congratulations  to Jeff Schaadt for his second place in D Stock, Dave Sponberg for his second place in H Stock, Rick Bagnard for his second place in ESP, and Michelle Dorman for her second place in X Prepared Ladies. 

Upcoming Events:

Event #7, November 7^th is the last points event for the year.  The 2010 Red River Region Men’s Autocross Champion is coming down to the last event with Five Red River Raiders in the mix.  Who will bring home the hardware?  Dorman, Booker, Sponberg, Bagnard, or Carrig?  Pre-registration now open!

TLAC 4 (hosted by CENLA)  Nov 21^st @ EVOC.  Please visit the Autoxforum or dlbracing for more details.  RRR sits in 3^rd place in the TLAC Club Challenge.  We need to close the 670 points gap to win the Club Challenge.  We need everyone that can go to be there to help!!
